William and Mary’s Financial Aid Office offers Financial Aid Guides for students and parents and a Frequently Asked Questions page to help students and their families navigate the affordability. Paying for college at the College of William and Mary can be done using scholarships (such as departmental and need-based), grants, loans, federal work study and non-work-study jobs. The college offers semester-based payment plans to help students and families organize themselves and their budget.
Additional scholarships for incoming students are offered through separate departments and enrolling students can apply for those separately. Those include varsity athletic scholarships (available through the Tribe Athletics Office and the Sharpe Community Scholars Program Awards offered from the College of Arts and Sciences.The College offers resources that focus on the 8 Dimensions of Health and Wellness - one of which is Financial Wellness. The Financial Aid Office recently announced a Financial Literacy pilot program which is in development; the university offers access to Cash Course as well as other articles and resources in the meantime. The Boehly Center, which is part of the Mason School of Business, also provides financial literacy resources including a student-run Financial Literacy Program which offers a certification in financial literacy to current students.
